Philanthropy

We started small, at Francis Parker School with children in tow, continued throughout my professional career, a natural focus was going to educational activities/causes/initiatives.  We chose Francis Parker School for our three children believing that educational opportunities are among the most important decisions that parents make on behalf of their children.  We chose Parker in San Diego not only for the education they would provide for our children but with the belief that we wanted to help to grow the capabilities of a school we believed in.  All three of our children graduated as "lifers" and went on to the colleges of their choice.  With deep gratitude for the experiences each of them were enjoying, including athletics, which was not the top priority of the school, we saw an opportunity to bring growth forward to the inclusion of that aspect in the educational process.

The role of education in shaping children is an issue on which I have focused from early child rearing through the completion of the highest level of Masters Programs.  The motivation to aspire and inspire lays the foundation at every level-- including parent associations, as well as funding of activities and building facilities, all of which have been central focal points of philanthropic giving of which I have been a part.
